
Professor Adenike Grange

Professor Adenike Grange is a distinguished professor of Paediatrics and the Founder and CEO of the Adegrange Child Foundation, an organization dedicated to improving maternal, child and family health in underserved communities. With a career spanning several decades, Professor Grange has been a staunch advocate for children’s rights and improved healthcare access for families and communities.
She served as the Minister of Health during the administration of President Yar’Adua, when she implemented policies aimed at enhancing effective healthcare delivery at all levels including Primary Health Care across Nigeria. Her leadership in the ministry was marked by significant reforms that improved maternal and child health outcomes,and gave rise to an expansion of the national infrastructure for the control of communicable diseases.
Professor Grange’s commitment to pediatric care and global health extends beyond her medical practice; through the Adegrange Child Foundation, she has led numerous initiatives focused on health education, vaccination campaigns, the establishment of healthcare facilities and economic empowerment initiatives for the youth in rural areas. Her work has garnered national and international recognition, making her a respected figure in global health and child advocacy.
