
Philomena Obasogie-Asidi, RN, BSN, SCRN
BOARD MEMBER
Philomena Obasogie-Asidi has been a registered nurse for about 40 years. She began her nursing career in Nigeria in 1985, emigrated to the States 17 years later, and has been practicing in different parts of the country. She is currently a Stroke Certified Registered Nurse in the past 10 years, practicing in the neuroscience department in one of the major hospitals in North Carolina.
Philomena is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses (AANN) that embarks on research, education, treatment, and prevention of stroke and other neurological ailments both in the hospital settings and the community.
She is also a member of the American Business Women Association (ABWA), an organization whose mission is geared towards empowerment of women through leadership training and recognition as well as giving scholarships to young girls both in high school and college.
Philomena is a devoted Christian, married with three grown-up children.
